Permanent full-time Position

The leading provider of online Special Education and Psychology Courses for Teachers and Allied Professionals is seeking to recruit a Researcher. The Researcher will report to the Research and Projects Manager to support the research/ academic team, teaching, presenting and publishing and executing assigned research projects.

The purpose of the position is to support all the research and academic functions of the Insititute of Child Education and Psychology (ICEP) Europe. This challenging position offers the opportunity to work within a well-respected and growing training and research Insititute with excellent track record in tendering for, and winning research projects, and in delivering professional development courses and University accredited programmes to the education community internationally.

You will have a relevant degree (psychology or social science, graduating with 2.1 or higher) and be able to demonstrate good research abilities. The ability to conduct primary research, analyze data, run focus groups and write academic content is essential.

You should have good writing skills, good communication skills, good analytic skills, an ability to work accurately with attention to detail, and a willingness to work effectively as a member of a small and supportive team. Experience of working on team-based research projects is desirable. Some knowledge of Erasmus+ or Horizon2020 research projects would be a distinct advantage.

Principal Duties / responsibilities

  • Support the team in developing grant proposal and assist in grant completion and submission
  • Execute research work plans according to project needs
  • Manage timelines and tracking of research projects
  • Support project communications both internal and external
  • Support dissemination activities and organising research related events
  • Contribute to the research output of the organisation through the conduct of interviews/focus groups, surveys, data analysis, report-writing, developing publication and dissemination activities.
  • Occasional Lecturing and supervision of students on our online Postgraduate Courses.
  • Assist the academic team researching/ updating content.
