Jerry Ryan

Jerry Ryan is an Administrative Principal at Scoil Triest Special School in Lota, Cork, which is a special school that caters for students aged 12-18 years who have a dual diagnosis of autism and mild-moderate intellectual disability.  Jerry worked as a SENCO, special class teacher, special education teacher & an Early Intervention Class Teacher in several schools over many years.  Jerry also completed a five-year secondment as an Advisor with the NCSE working as an Advisor on the autism team. Jerry has over 10 years 3rd level lecturing experience across several Institutes and Universities specialising primarily in Special & Inclusive Education.  Jerry has a master’s degree in special educational needs and a master’s degree in Autism.  Jerry also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Special & Inclusive Education and a Postgraduate Diploma in Autism.  Jerry has a first-class honours degree in Human Resource Management as well as a Postgraduate Qualification in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education.  Jerry has worked as an Associate with the Special Education Support Services (SESS) for many years.  Jerry has a great passion and interest in Special and Inclusive Education.
