Fiona Richardson

Module Lead for Understanding Behaviour

Fiona Richardson has extensive experience across the education sector, combining classroom teaching with system-level support and academic work. She has taught in both Ireland and the United Kingdom and has worked closely with schools and teachers through her roles with the National Behaviour Support Service, the National Council for Special Education, and Hibernia College.
Fiona is widely recognised, nationally and internationally, for her evidence-informed contributions to literacy development, positive behaviour for learning, and equality-based inclusive education. Her work includes being among the early pioneers of the Junior Certificate CSPE curriculum, as well as co-authoring Taking the Next Step: A Blueprint for Educate Together Second-Level Schools, a publication described by Professor Áine Hyland as both “visionary and realistic”.
