Part-time Accountant/Senior Bookkeeper

Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our financial operations. Reporting directly to the directors, you’ll oversee financial reporting, cash flow management, payments and reconciliations while working closely with internal and external stakeholders. This part-time role (approximately one day a week, or 4-5 days per month) offers remote working with occasional onsite meetings in Maynooth, Ireland. The role would suit a part-qualified accountant, or fully qualified AAT operating on a freelance or contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage management accounts and cash flow reporting
- Oversee payments, banking, and financial reconciliations
- Handle grant applications and financial compliance reporting
- Monitor cost centres and manage financial forecasting
- Liaise with accountants for the annual audit process
- Collaborate with our payroll provider to ensure accurate salary processing
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or fully qualified AAT
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, Xero, and Stripe, with payroll experience
- Ability to manage multiple financial projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
