The Advanced Diploma in Special Educational Needs in association with The Institute of Child Education and Psychology (ICEP) Europe & Leeds Beckett University is offering a suite of online modules for those working with children and young people who have Special Educational Needs, leading to the award of an Advanced Diploma in Special Educational Needs. The programme is equally relevant for teachers, SENCOs, as well as other professionals (e.g. educational psychologists and social care workers).
The programme will be accredited by Leeds Beckett University (20 Credits per module) at Level 8 allowing you to achieve an Advanced Diploma through completing three online modules, over the course of a year. The online delivery and modular structure gives you the flexibility to study when and where it suits and offers access to quality, affordable and specialist training regardless of location.
Who is the programme aimed at?
The programmes are equally relevant for teachers, Teaching Assistants (TAs), Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs), SENCOs as well as other professionals (e.g. educational psychologists, social care workers) and parents or carers of those who have Special Educational Needs.
Working with children who have special education needs is both challenging and rewarding. Our course will help you perform better in your role, achieving more for yourself and those you work with. You'll look at what you do in the classroom, why you do it and if it works. If you'd like to pursue a role in teaching, our course can set you on your way to achieving qualified teacher status. For teachers and other professionals the Advanced Diploma can offer a route to specialist roles and access to other advanced training.
For the award of Advanced Diploma, any three of the above modules must be completed at level 8.
